White House Forum on Nonprofit Leadership

On November 15, 2011, Independent Sector and a coalition of cross-sector leaders organized the White House Forum for Nonprofit Leadership to launch the Initiative for Nonprofit Talent and Leadership. White House Forum on Nonprofit Leadership

The forum was established to begin  addressing the urgent need to elevate nonprofit leadership development and sustain success across the nation. The event was hosted by the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation.

The coalition of cross-sector leaders also included American Express, Annie E. Casey Foundation, Aspen Institute Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation, Center for Creative Leadership, Commongood Careers, Corporation for National and Community Service, Public Allies, and Rudin Family Foundations, among others.
