Spring Research Forum 1999
March 25-26, 1999
Ramada Plaza Hotel
Alexandria, Virginia
The 1999 Spring
Research Forum presented some of the leading research and critical discussion available on
one of the most complex issues facing philanthropy today—the blurring of the boundaries of
the nonprofit, for-profit, public, and private sectors. The INDEPENDENT
SECTOR biennial Spring Research Forum is unique
because it brings together leading researchers, practitioners, and other IS members who are
searching for ways to use research findings in their everyday work. This combination of
researchers and practitioners leads to an exciting and refreshing blend of perspectives.
It was also an opportunity for us to share with you our path-breaking research from the
Measures Project, which we believe is an important contribution to this
debate.
