2012 NGen Leadership Series

Generously sponsored by the Walmart Foundation, these sessions offer interactive conversations to prepare leaders to have a real impact on society’s most complex problems. Participants will engage with presenters and peers about powerful new options to address individual and organizational leadership challenges.

The series aims to:

• Broaden outlook through a rigorous treatment of pertinent issues.
• Expand the capacity and influence of committed leaders resulting in positive shifts in sector practices.
• Improve awareness of personal strengths, areas for development, and how to exercise leadership at any level.
• Leverage the power of the NGen community through interaction with NGen and established leaders.
• Develop ability to effectively collaborate within and across sectors.

What the Heck is the Common Good Anyway?
In the midst of profound economic and social shifts, the “common good” is not often common across organizational, sector and political fault lines.  NGen leaders have a central role in advancing both this conversation and the steps we take together to make that common good a reality. Participants engaged in  a generative conversation with dynamic NGen leaders to grapple with these important questions together. What do they – and you – see as the common good, and what role does the sector have in promoting it?
