The NGen: Moving Nonprofit Leaders from Next to Now program enhances the visibility, leadership capacity and professional networks of emerging leaders age 40 and under.

The NGen Pre-Conference Program offers targeted workshops and networking opportunities for more than 150 emerging nonprofit and philanthropic leaders each year. This 1.5-day program complements the 2013 National Conference by strengthening the capacity of the sector's young leaders to contribute to addressing our society's most significant challenges now and over time.

“Of all the conferences I go to, many of which have an emphasis on aspects of next generation leadership, the IS conference sets itself apart with the thoughtfulness and quality of its NGen program." - Kevin Bolduc, vice president of assessment tools, The Center for Effective Philanthropy

"The NGen experience was eye-opening in many ways, I made connections with many people who are doing incredible things." - Christine Rhee, philanthropy manager, American Express

This premier networking and professional development event brings together both nonprofit and foundation leaders. Participants will leave the conference:

  • having built new relationships within the NGen community and beyond;
  • with concrete tools that can be immediately put to use;
  • feeling rejuvenated and inspired;
  • with personal and professional insights; and
  • having been challenged to understand and know how to demonstrate agility at both personal and professional levels.

The 2013 NGen Program marks six years of quality under-40 events at the IS Annual Conference.
