Starting this October, PBS stations will air a one-hour documentary on the life and times of
The Honorable John W. Gardner, co-founder of INDEPENDENT SECTOR, and one of our nation’s foremost thinkers.
JOHN GARDNER: UNCOMMON AMERICAN

The film was produced by the Twenty-First Century
Initiative (a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC) and narrated by Richard
Dreyfuss. JOHN GARDNER: UNCOMMON AMERICAN
has been made possible by the support of many IS members, including
the Carnegie Corporation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Walter and Elise Haas Fund, the Miriam and Peter Haas Fund, the Evelyn and Walter
