Project Coordinator (Part-time; Temporary)
Oahu, HI
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Create and manage projects (including campaigns and educational events) for education and civic engagement; recruit and coordinate interns and volunteers; educate interns and volunteers toward a working knowledge and participation in democracy and Hawaii’s political and electoral process; Assist the Executive Director in research and writing assignments, and coalition-building as it relates to projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects; Demonstrated ability to organize; Experience in volunteer management; Strong written and oral communications skills; Sharp interpersonal skills; Able to work independently as well as within a team environment; Familiarity with Hawaii and national politics; Working knowledge and proficiency with social media tools including Facebook and Twitter; Must be willing to manage a work-related Common Cause Twitter account.
