REPORTS TO:  Digital Strategies Manager and Vice President, Communications 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Handle day-to-day production and maintenance of the organization's websites. Assist in developing, formatting and segmenting compelling messages and help manage a busy online calendar. Work with state chapters to maintain and improve their sites. Using the CMS system and advocacy tools, build landing pages for messages, and monitor and report on online messaging performance. Contribute to redesign and functionality upgrade of CommonCause.org, launching later in 2013. Research, recommend and implement technology ideas and solutions as needed. Create and edit graphics. Advise and implement SEO strategies and tactics. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  At least three years of experience with working with nonprofit political campaign or similar websites. Demonstrated experience with content management systems and constituent databases required. Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as solid writing and editing skills. Understanding of online tools, tactics and best practices. Ability to train colleagues on specific digital skills and tasks. Experience with Photoshop and other digital production tools. An eye for clean graphic design. 

Pluses:  Graphic design and/or production design experience is a huge plus; in particular, experience developing and designing infographics for distribution on blogs and social channels; writing skills helpful.
