FutureLab: An Online Challenge for the Nonprofit Community to Chart a Vibrant 2020 is a national conversation to generate, develop, and share ideas to dramatically increase the impact of nonprofits and foundations over the next 10 years.

FutureLab enables anyone from all types of organizations and from diverse backgrounds to share big ideas and identify common goals to strengthen charitable organizations. Comment on discussion areas that are already developing including leadership, diversity, technology, integrating religious communities, and transitioning to a sustainable 21st century economy.

Join the challenge, offer your ideas and benefit from the sector’s collective thinking. In early 2010, the best ideas and insights will be summarized and published by Independent Sector so that leaders can draw from this thinking to inform their work and build a better 2020.

• FutureLab is an online forum where members of the nonprofit and philanthropic community can help envision and begin to create a more dynamic and powerful future.
• FutureLab is a place to leverage our sector’s collective intelligence and mobilize our best energies towards a brighter future.
• FutureLab is for everyone. Anyone over the age of 18 is invited to register. The conversation is targeted towards people affiliated with nonprofits and/or foundations in a variety of ways.
• FutureLab is public information. Anyone can take and implement ideas within their own organization.
