Corporate Philanthropy Programs

Corporate foundations and giving programs provide an indispensable perspective to IS’s work, collaborating with nonprofit leaders and with other grantmakers to develop solutions to some of society’s most pressing problems.

Staff at member organizations have the opportunity to:

Serve on committees with their colleagues and grantees to strengthen individual organizations, the nonprofit community, and society in the United States and around the world. Last year more than 250 leaders of IS member organizations shaped IS’s work by participating in our committees, which focus on areas such as public policy, ethics and accountability, international issues, and communications.

Attend the IS Annual Conference at discounted rates and to participate in special sessions.

Receive timely, regular updates on key nonprofit issues through electronic briefings such as:

  • Daily Policy Digest, detailing the latest developments in legislation and regulation.
  • Daily Media Digest, containing full versions of stories affecting the nonprofit community from major media sources.
  • IS CONNECTS, our monthly electronic newsletter summarizing IS’s recent work.
  • Alerts on breaking news and developments of broad interest to the sector.

Support efforts that strengthen the effectiveness of their grantees, such as improving accountability and advocating for public policies that increase incentives for charitable giving. These collaborations often involve the Policy Action Network, a growing coalition that takes collaborative action on key nonprofit issues in federal, state, and local government.
