Venture into the heart of innovation begin your Independent Sector conference journey early with an exclusive visit to Microsoft’s Redmond Campus.

The visit starts with a hands-on technology experience at the famous Microsoft Visitor’s Center. You’ll move through the history of Microsoft to the edge of the future where you’ll have a chance to interact with revolutionary technologies that are changing the world. Then, join your colleagues for a thought-provoking session with James Rooney, senior manager for Microsoft’s Technology for Good program. He will discuss Microsoft’s vision for improving the social sector, and teach practical ways that your organization can leverage technology to realize its mission and do more good.

Space is very limited for this trip, but guaranteed for full (three-day) IS National Conference attendees who register by July 9.

The NGen Pre-Conference brings together nonprofit and philanthropic leaders, age 40 and under, for networking and professional development. This gathering of more than 120 next generation leaders complements the Independent Sector National Conference by strengthening the capacity of the sector's emerging leaders to contribute to addressing our society's most pressing social challenges.

The NGen Pre-Conference Program requires an additional registration fee and is not included in main Conference registration. Main Conference registration is optional for NGen attendees.

Public Policy Action Institute is an exciting day-and-a-half event that brings together a diverse group of nonprofit leaders, policy advocates, and communications professionals to discuss policy issues vital to advancing the work of the nonprofit sector and meeting the needs of our communities. It truly is our premiere policy gathering of the year. The Institute features timely expert presentations on the key issues facing the nonprofit and philanthropic sector; effective strategies for conveying our messages to policymakers; networking opportunities with other policy leaders; and practical, hands-on learning through small group breakout sessions.
