With civil society on our minds more than ever,
the
INDEPENDENT SECTOR Annual
Conference and Meeting of Members, November 4-6 in Atlanta, gave our
community a shared opportunity to advance the national dialogue about the
enhanced role the sector must now play in standing for tolerance and in
encouraging a sustained giving and volunteering effort. Approximately 700
nonprofit and philanthropic leaders joined us in Atlanta for
an action-packed three days of thought-provoking discussion
and learning.
