Recognizing that the leaders we need tomorrow are already making important contributions today, Independent Sector developed the American Express NGen Fellows Program to honor and empower 12 under-40 leaders at IS member organizations. This initiative enhances IS's NGen: Moving Nonprofit Leaders from Next to Now program, which deepens the nonprofit talent pool by developing the leadership opportunities and professional networks of emerging leaders.

This NGen Fellows Program aims to build the capacity of young professionals to shape the future of the nonprofit community. Its programming, anchored by the IS Annual Conference, offers online and in-person activities that will help hone fellows' leadership skills, strengthen their professional networks, and elevate the visibility of this cohort's accomplishments.
