2008 Annual Conference
The Scholar-in-Residence Program gives Annual Conference participants an exceptional opportunity to explore in more detail issues raised at the conference that are central to the work of nonprofit organizations, including the interplay between ethics, leadership and talent management, and innovation and creativity. Two special sessions will help participants focus on these themes during the conference and understand how to apply these ideas to their work. Leading this exciting program, which is new in 2008, is Dr. Richard Gunderman, professor of radiology, pediatrics, medical education, philosophy, liberal arts, and philanthropy at Indiana University. His recent research has focused on ethics and philanthropy. Thomas Beech, president and CEO of the Fetzer Institute, will moderate these conversations. Schedule The two sessions of the Scholar-in-Residence program book-end the full conference program, helping participants explore the concepts and themes that form the foundation of the plenaries and breakouts.
How to Participate The Scholar-in-Residence program is open to any conference registrant. There is no additional registration fee, but advance sign-up is required, and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. These sessions are limited to 60 participants to encourage discussion. To register, select Scholar-in-Residence (#9) on the registration page. The system will ask you to provide your conference registration number, which you received in your confirmation email. |
