  • IS Public Policy Action Institute—Designed in partnership with the National Conference of State Legislatures—Saturday, 1:00–5:00 pm, and Sunday, 8:00 am–noon ($100 IS members and $175 nonmembers)

  • International Issues Dinner: Civil Society’s Role in a Challenging and Changing World—Keynote by Jonathan Fanton, president of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation—Saturday, 6:00–9:00 pm ($75—includes dinner)

  • Host Event: Shedd Aquarium—Sunday, 6:30–9:30 pm ($75 per ticket, full conference registration includes one ticket)

  • John W. Gardner Leadership Award Gala—Monday, 7:00–9:00 pm ($75—includes dinner, full conference registration includes one ticket)

Team Registration
If individuals from the same organization register in advance together using the Team Registration Form, the team registration discount is applied as follows: primary attendee, no discount; second attendee, $50 off; third and all additional attendees, $100 off. All registrants must register at the same time.

Special IS Member Rate for Midwest Partner Organizations
If you are not a member of INDEPENDENT SECTOR, but a member in good standing of an INDEPENDENT SECTOR partner organization (see list), you are eligible to register for the conference at the IS member rate—a savings of more than $400 over nonmember rates. The IS partner organization with which you are affiliated will provide you with a special registration code that allows you to attend the conference at the reduced rate. Simply enter this promotional code in the appropriate field when completing the online registration form.

Special New Member Promotion

INDEPENDENT SECTOR today and save 20 percent on membership dues for the first year. This special promotion allows new members to register for the 2004 Annual Conference at the IS member rate in addition to receiving a discount on membership dues for one year.

Media Registration
Members of the media who wish to cover the IS Annual Conference must first contact Patricia Nash at 202-467-6132. 

Cancellations
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Angelia Bland. All cancellations made prior to September 30 are subject to a $100 administrative fee. No refunds can be given after September 30. Registrations may be substituted between individuals; however, they may not be shared by more than one individual.

Hotel Reservations
Friday, October 8 is the last day to reserve a room at the conference hotel and receive the discounted rate for IS conference attendees. Please make hotel reservations by contacting The Fairmont Chicago directly.
