IMAGINE we live in a just and inclusive society — a healthy democracy of active citizens, effective institutions, and vibrant communities. That’s the vision of Independent Sector.

Join us November 16-18 in Seattle at the Independent Sector National Conference, the most important networking event of the charitable sector, where we will harness the spirit, creativity, and innovation of the Pacific Northwest. Our program will inspire new ideas, examine ways to achieve greater impact, strengthen the charitable community by sharing our struggles and solutions, and create opportunity for new collaborations that improve the lives of the people we serve.

We are excited to be working with our Premier Partner, Philanthropy Northwest, and dozens of our other partners and members of our committees, to present more than 30 sessions targeted to interests across the sector. If you haven't been to an IS conference before, you can get a feel for the event by watching the 2013 conference videos.

“It’s hard to put into words how much I appreciated the opportunity I have had to attend the IS conference and NGen Pre-Conference. It was truly an amazing experience from start to finish, and I left inspired and motivated to take action to improve the impact, accountability and effectiveness of both my organization and my role in it.”
– Andrée Herbert, Tennessee Aquarium

“I learned so much from the presenters, the workshops, and the informal conversations. NGen was fabulous, as always. I’m newly inspired to “LEAD ON” as a result of attending this high quality gathering . . . it makes a huge difference for small nonprofits like mine!"
